Reel Justice Film Series: Paper & Glue

Reel Justice Film Series: Paper & Glue

The CEJ is hosting a screening of Paper & Glue (2021) on Wednesday 2/25 from 5-8 in Richter Hall/Ahmanson 100; we will start the film at 6 pm so if you need to arrive closer to then, that is okay! This event is cosponsored by the French Program and the Francophone Club.

In Paper & Glue, French photographer and street artist JR "turns the camera on his own work as he builds some of his most monumental projects. From early illicit graffiti videos captured on Paris rooftops at night, to the US-Mexico border, to the favelas of Rio de Janeiro, to a current collaboration at a California supermax prison, the film follows JR as he turns these communities inside out, turning images of residents into social and immersive art installations."

The event schedule is as follows:

  • 5-5:30 socializing and snacking (allowing time for people to arrive after classes)
  • 5:45-6 introduction by Dr. Anda and Dr. Fortune
  • 6:00 film begins (run time of 91 minutes)
  • 7:30-8 closing reflection/discussion

This event is part of the Center for Equality and Justice series.
