About
Dan Shuster taught at Royal High School in Simi Valley for 29 years. During that time, he taught every course in the high school mathematics curriculum while primarily teaching AP Statistics and AP Computer Science. He is currently in his 6th year a Teacher on Special Assignment for Educational Technology and Mathematics in Simi Valley Unified School District and is a freelance consultant for computer science education. Dan has taught EDTP 535 at CLU for the past 5 years. He is a proponent of activity-based learning and utilizing technology to enable deeper connections in Mathematics. Dan has a wealth of experience as a presenter at local, state and national mathematics educational conferences. In May, he will present internationally for the first time in Ontario, Canada. Dan has a BA in Mathematics from UC Riverside and an MA in Mathematics Education from CSU Northridge.
