I have a background in Secondary Education, coaching and Psychology and have been teaching art for over ten years at Cal Lutheran.
I am also a working professional in the art world. I take part in and sell my work at national and local museum shows, as well as some galleries. This includes such prestigious shows as the C.M. Russell Art Show and Auction in Great Falls Montana.
In 2017 I was featured in the national magazine; Cowboys and Indians and also 805 magazine.
Education
B.A. in English and Secondary Education
M.A. in Psychology and Counseling (graduated with Honors)
Over four years studying art at California Art Institute with famed illustrator Glen Orbik as well as studying at Los Angeles Academy of Figurative art.
Expertise
My expertise is in the area of teaching and producing Fine Art and Illustration. I am proficient in Charcoal, Watercolor, Gouache, Oil, Acrylic, Pastel and Digital media. I am also a working professional in the art world. I take part in and sell my work at national and local museum shows, as well as some galleries. This includes such prestigious shows as the C.M. Russell Art Show and Auction in Great Falls Montana.
I specialize in Figurative art work (people-- faces and figures) and work primarily in the Western genre including Native Americans.
In addition I also do portrait commissions per request.
