About
As a native of Los Angeles, California, I discovered my passion for education at a young age. After graduating high school, I pursued my secondary education at the University of California Santa Barbara where I received my Bachelor's of Arts in Linguistics. There I discovered my love of American Sign Language and began working toward becoming an ASL interpreter. On my journey to becoming an interpreter, I realized my desire for working with students and people with hearing loss. I enrolled at National University and graduated with my Masters in Special Education with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching Credential. I have been working with DHH students for the past 11 years as a classroom teacher and an itinerant. I have supported students from birth to 22 years old with various hearing levels. I will bring my knowledge in the field of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education to my students as a member of the Cal Lutheran community.
