About
Dr. Leon holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology, a Masters in Education, and multiple single subject credentials from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She also holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and administrative credential from the University of Southern California. Her areas of research and publication range from building and transforming school culture, to best practices for equitable access to learning.
Dr. Leon taught middle school and high school English and English Language Development prior to becoming an administrator. She has been in administration at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as having worked in curriculum and instruction at the district level in multiple districts in Ventura County. She is currently in her fourth year as the founding principal of Del Sol High School in the Oxnard Union High School District.
