Policy Brown Bag Series: DOGE and the Pursuit of Government Efficiency
The MPPA Policy Brown Bag Series, hosted by the Master of Public Policy & Administration program at California Lutheran University, brings together practitioners and researchers to explore today’s most pressing public policy challenges and connect classroom learning with real-world experience.
This month, we welcome Alexander Balkin, Attorney and former Federal Inspector General, for a discussion on DOGE and the pursuit of government efficiency.
The conversation will examine the goals behind DOGE’s efforts to make government more efficient, the approaches that produced results, the challenges and shortcomings along the way, and what might have been done differently. Together, we’ll consider what this experience can teach us about government reform, accountability, and the ongoing challenge of making public institutions work more effectively.
The event will be held in person on the Cal Lutheran campus and livestreamed via Zoom. RSVP is required to receive the Zoom link and important event information.
This event is part of the School of Management series.
