Spanish Language Programming /Programación en Español

Empezaremos la sesión con la Doctora LaVerne Seales del departamento de Estudios Españoles y Latino Americanos, seguida por una presentación conducida por la Doctora Lorena Muñoz,sobre el departamento de estudios étnicos y raciales. Después, una representante de la oficina de ayuda financiera, Leslie Madrigal, dará una presentación sobre información importante de ayuda financiera para estudiantes admitidos. Terminaremos la sesión con diferentes colaboradores del campus incluyendo oficinas de: Diversidad, Equidad, Inclusión y Justicia (DEIJB), Servicios de Apoyo al Estudiante, Compromiso Cultural y Inclusión, el Programa de becarios McNair, y el grupo estudiantil, la Organización de Estudiantes Latinoamericanos (LASO). Ellos estarán listos para ayudarlos conocer más sobre Cal Lutheran. Open House Sessions & Featured Academic Lectures

Open House sessions are drop in anytime from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Featured Presentations happen at the designated times for 30 minutes each.

• Biology Open House: "The Biology open house will introduce the shape of the Cal Lutheran Biology curriculum, including unique features and opportunities for students to engage in genuine research experiences. Faculty interests and expertise will be provided. Possible career paths of graduates will be discussed."

• Chemistry Open House: "Come enjoy a guided tour of the new Swenson Science Center! The walk-through will showcase General and Organic Chemistry teaching laboratories, advanced instrumentation suites located in the Physical Chemistry lab, and finish with two advanced faculty-specific research labs for the disciplines of protein biochemistry and organic synthesis. All family and friends of prospective students are welcome, and time will be saved for Q and A!"

• Philosophy Open House: "Come to the Philosophy Open House to hear the chair of the Philosophy Department talk about how Philosophy is a widely misunderstood discipline, how it is an extremely practical and marketable major/minor, and how it is the perfect major or minor pairing with other disciplines! These claims will be supported with examples of the classes we offer, travel opportunities, and stories of philosophy alumni in a wide variety of grad school programs and successful careers!"

Campus Tours and Residence Halls Previews (Ongoing)

See map for tour locations

Come meet our Presidential Host tour guides to learn more about different areas of campus. The campus tour is self-guided, with tour guides stationed at six different areas on campus. Feel free to take the whole tour or simply visit specific stops. You can take the tour in any order and mix in stops with other activities throughout the afternoon. Resident Assistants will meet you at Stops 2 and 5 to tell you about living on campus and to show you the Residence Halls.

We know that funding your college education can be a daunting endeavor and our financial aid team will be available to answer general questions. We will have staff available during the involvement fair as well as a drop-in location in Overton Hall. Due to the FAFSA delays, we will not be able to speak with you directly about federal, state or institutional need-based aid eligibility. Please know we are working diligently to ensure you are able to maximize your financial aid eligibility for the 24/25 aid year. Feel free to stop by to learn more about other funding resources.

A panel of current Kingsmen and Regal players and staff will be on hand to talk about the student-athlete experience at Cal Lutheran. Guests can expect to hear about making the transition from high school to college level competition, managing academic workload, pre- and off-season commitments, resources for student-athletes, and more

Living On Campus

Filling out housing contracts, deciding which hall is best for you, and everything that goes into living on campus can be confusing. During this session you will be able to speak with Residence Life professionals about all of your housing needs and questions. We will also talk about living on campus and all of the new and fun experiences you will have!
