Ken Brooks '90 & Leslie Brooks '90
Leslie and I met on the first day of our freshman year. She lived on the second floor of Mt. Clef and I lived on the first. I used to DJ every morning when the radio station was in Mt Clef. I think Leslie was my only listener. There was a group of us that did everything together. We still see most of the group on a regular basis. Our first official date was pizza in Kingsmen Park. We started dating our freshman year on November 17, 1986, and never looked back. We graduated in 1990 and were one of the first couples to get married in the new CLU chapel. Leslie and I currently live just a few minutes from CLU and visit all the time. Our three boys love going to the CLU football, baseball, and basketball games and we are always involved in the yearly Scandinavian Festival. Most of my family attended CLU and my brother-in-law played football and hockey for the Kingsmen. This year, we will be celebrating our 30th year of marriage and we owe it all to our time at California Lutheran University.
