The Gallegly Center cultivates civic leaders and promotes public service by fostering dialogue, bridging differences, and providing a forum for nonpartisan civil discourse.

Through this work, we create a culture where diverse perspectives are valued as essential to democratic citizenship and problem-solving.

I want to learn more about the relationships between policy, wealth distribution, and structures that provide economic upward mobility, and how to implement policies that are economically and ethically conscious.

I am interested in studying the effects of policy and law on marginalized communities and researching what can be done to improve equity, with respect to social programs and human rights.

Being a Gallegly Fellow was an experience that I am forever grateful for. I gained professional skills, built long lasting connections, researched and completed a thesis on a topic that is close to my heart, and received a rewarding education from Cal Lutheran. Without the Gallegly Fellowship, I would not have been able to pursue my dream of gaining a graduate degree in a subject that I am passionate about.
