About

For 20 years, Leadership Savvy founder, Julie Ha Truong, has supported thousands of leaders in achieving real, meaningful change.

She has led innovative cross sector initiatives, developed a range of leadership certificate programs, as well as coached and recruited diverse executive and emerging leaders. In each of these roles, she expanded and trained staff, doubled revenue and budgets, and created lasting systems-change. Her supportive and engaging approach makes her a welcome strategist, trainer, facilitator, and coach.

Ms. Truong is an expert in leadership development and facilitation. Most recently she led recruiting, strategy, and merger projects at Envision Consulting. Prior to that she led the successful re-design of the Center for Nonprofit Management's leadership programs. Before that, she launched Community Schools at public school district 286 in partnership with the Superintendent of Schools. The 100 public-private partnerships greatly improved academic and health, and included the establishment of multiple clinics, a child care center, and youth recreation center.

In her early years, Ms. Truong built an award-winning Capacity Building Program, strengthening organizations through collaborations, training, and grant-making. She holds a Masters of Public Policy in Management and Leadership, is a CNM Certified Coach, teaches at AJU's MBA program, and speaks a second language: Mandarin Chinese.
