Club The School of Management at California Lutheran University has many clubs and associations to choose from to become a member. Each club and association offers unique opportunities to meet professionals, learn more about the industry, and have fun at events!


Accounting Association

The Accounting Association works to advance the academic and professional careers of accounting students at Cal Lutheran by offering interaction with business leaders in the field.


American Marketing Association - Cal Lutheran Collegiate Chapter

A collegiate chapter created under the American Marketing Association (AMA). We welcome members to either become a member of AMA or simply be a member of our on campus chapter. This club is used to create a community within the marketing students on campus while allowing for an open forum of new marketing ideas alongside inviting special guests with marketing expertise.

Business of Sports Club

The goal of this club is to get like minded students together and explore the various aspects of sports management. This club is also a great networking experience as we can meet new people and search for future jobs in the many branches of our industry.


Delta Sigma Pi - Cal Lutheran Student Chapter

Chapter of nationally recognized, respected professional business organization. Students to use money from school, sponsorships, and donations to improve campus and community operations. Students also to regularly bring in guest speakers from a wide range of business backgrounds and host/participate in philanthropy events which benefit the greater good.

Financial Planning Association -  Cal Lutheran Student Chapter

The purpose of Financial Planning Association Cal Lutheran Chapter Club is to promote financial literacy to students of all backgrounds and majors to understand how financial planning effects their personal lives. Financial Planning elements include: tax management, employment benefits, retirement planning, risk management and insurance, investment/portfolio management, and estate planning for individuals and families. We encourage education in these fields to support personal financial goals.


ICMA (International City/County Management Association)

Since its founding, ICMA has advocated the council-manager form of government and professional local government management as the best vehicles for ensuring community success. Explore these curated resources, which highlight the benefits of professional local government management and the outstanding appointed city, town, and county managers who are part of this exciting profession.


Investment Club

The purpose of the Investment Club is to provide CLU students with knowledge that will allow them to make successful investment decisions. We provide an environment where people interested in investing can come to learn and share information. People from any major or background are welcome to join the investment club to discover more. The Investment club also presides over the California Lutheran University Student Managed Investment Fund. This is an investment portfolio of $55k that students get hands on experience with in the market.


IT Club

IT club is an initiative of School of Management which is open for any student pursuing a graduate or a undergraduate degree at CLU. This club will encourage students to contribute towards the IT field and will provide good networking opportunity to the students.

LatinX Business Student Association

The LatinX Business Student Association (LBSA) aims to increase the representation of Latinx professionals in the field of business by fostering the development of tomorrow’s leaders from diverse backgrounds and career fields.


PIHRA (Human Resource Club) - Cal Lutheran Student Chapter

The Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) is dedicated to the continuous enhancement of human resources through networking, learning, and advocacy. They serve the human resources industry with 17 locations in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura. As the largest affiliate of the Society for Human Resources Management chapter, PIHRA represents more than 4,000 individual members. One way PIHRA encourages the growth and development of future leaders in Human Resources is by partnering with campuses across Southern California.

The purpose of this club is to connect and empower students who are interested in networking, personal and career development, or human resources as a career or field of study. PIHRA offers students the unique opportunity to connect with professionals who can serve as mentors or guides. This network of professionals can provide insight on career attainment and advancement, or assist with personal and career development as a whole. While the PIHRA chapter has been created by graduate students in the School of Management, we openly welcome and accept undergraduates of any major who are interested.

SOM Brand Ambassadors

The SOM Brand Ambassadors share a student voice and perspective of the School of Management by creating social media content on the "somambassador" Instagram and TikTok channels. Ambassadors also create and attend exclusive events such as holding LinkedIn workshops and meeting with local high school students. In two short months their social pages reached over 10,000 video views.

StartupCLU (Entrepreneurship Club)

StartupCLU helps students find and pursue their passions using an entrepreneurial spirit. Students have the opportunity to learn from experienced entrepreneurs and business professionals as well as from hands-on exercises for problem solving and business development. Our members range from students with no notion of entrepreneurship to well-experienced startup founders.

Women in Business

The Women in Business club is for young women who are interested in finding a position in large corporations and in the field business. Our focus is to aide and guide young women to go against the status quo within the world of business. By the end of each women's time in our club they will gather and utilize the skills and tools learned, along with connections created with our guest speakers.
