All new international students are required to attend orientation prior starting class

Important information is provided on:

  • Life in the US and California
  • Maintaining your international student status
  • What resources are available to you
  • Campus activities
  • Relevant University policies

Please complete your mandatory SEVIS registration (F1) or SEVIS Validation (J1) after you arrive in the U.S. and prior to the first day of orientation. Gather all travel documents in advance: Cal Lutheran I-20 (F1) or DS-2019 (J1), Passsport (biographical page), visa, I-94 and upload them on the OISS Student portal. 

The schedule below is for International Student Orientation only, keep in mind that undergraduate students need to attend the Cal Lutheran new student orientation program and graduate students need to refer to their academic program for details about their orientation. 

Summer 2024 International Graduate Student Orientation

9:00 am - 4 pm | International ProgramOrientation (Lundring Events Center) 8:30 am - 12 pm | International Student Seminar(Center for Global Engagement)
Please bring your Passport, Visa, I-20 or DS-2019 and I-94 documents at the International Program Orientation.
Light breakfast will be provided.

12 pm - 1 pm | CGE Open Doors - Optional(Center for Global Engagement)
