Pastor Beth (she/her)—known on campus as “PB”—is a proud 2012 Cal Lutheran alumna originally from Arizona, the ancestral and present-day homeland of O’odham Jewed, Akimel O’odham, and Hohokam nations. After earning her Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in Saint Paul, Minnesota, she served a small congregation in the northeast valley of Phoenix. PB loves hearing about students’ lives, exploring spiritual practices that keep us grounded, hiking new trails with her family, and gabbing over coffee or tea. She shares life with her husband, kids, and two dogs. A pastor in the ELCA, PB strives to lead with and share love, encouragement, joy, and hope while joining God in building a more just and loving world where all flourish.
Come talk with PB about spiritual, empathetic, and confidential care when life happens and you need support; vocational discernment—how your unique gifts might serve the common good; or your questions about God, faith, religion, spirituality, and spiritual formation. No question is too big, too small, or too complicated. Wherever you are on your journey, PB is here to listen, wonder, and journey alongside you. PB’s door is always open.

As both a Cal Lutheran alumna and parent of a current student, she is deeply committed to helping students thrive during their college journey.
Come talk with Ryanne about getting involved with Campus Ministry, exploring interfaith engagement, practicing meditation and mindfulness, reserving or participating in chapel, or accessing the Community Cupboard and other food insecurity resources.
