What are your writing strengths or areas of expertise?
As a writer, some strengths are that ideas come to me abundantly, and I like to sit
and write until they are completed. That is fulfilling. I have not always found writing
fulfilling. It was a growing process. In working with others on their writing, some
strengths are that I seem to be able to help people have fun doing assignments they
did not initially want to do. I seem to be able to help people grow in areas that
they are weak. I seem to be able to help people excel in areas that they are strong.
Professors used to force me to go to the writing center at my own school when I was
an undergrad. I did not enjoy that, nor did I see the sense in it. Eventually, I came
to really like it.
What do you want to do after you graduate?
Serve a congregation as their pastor, love people, serve God, build community.
Where are you from? How do you identify or describe your ethnic backgrounds?
Chicago. Some people say I have an accent like I'm from Chicago. Some people think
my accent sounds like I'm from a different planet or something. I can't really hear
my own accent, so I guess I'll let you be the judge.
