Mary (Malde) Brannock
Service to Alma Mater
Mary (Malde) Brannock, honored for her years of dedicated volunteerism, received the Service to Alma Mater award recognizing alumni for outstanding contributions to the life and welfare of CLU.
Brannock, a teacher at Camarillo High School, graduated from CLU with her bachelor’s degree in English in 1967. She has served two terms on the Alumni Board of Directors, led the Awards & Honors Committee and has organized all of her class reunions, including the Class of ’67 30th reunion. Hosting Student Alumni Associations events and other class activities at her home, Brannock is also recognized for entertaining others as a back-up singer for the popular Elvis benefit concerts.
A class representative since graduation, she has served as a link between her classmates, primarily through class notes. Brannock has also served for several years on the Editorial Advisory board of the CLU Magazine.
