David Festerling

Career Achievement

In 1997, David was named Deputy Fire Chief of the Ventura County Fire Department.  David joined the Ventura County Fire Department over 30 years ago and rose through the ranks from a fire engineer to Assistant Fire Chief before receiving his new title in 1997.  During his tenure with the fire department, he has been a firefighter/dispatcher, a fire boat operator, a helicopter crew chief and a fire crew supervisor.  In addition to his firefighting duties, David has worked on a number of special assignments, including organizing and supervising the first youth summer employment program and serving as an adjunct training officer.
