“From a college to a University, obviously much about “Cal Lu” has changed in the past thirty years.  In the mid 1960s, Cal Lu was a fast fledging college with no institutional history and no sense of continuity and tradition.  It was understandably difficult to get excited about the notion of being an alumnus.  Today, however, thousands of CLU graduates across the nation and around the world effectively compete and contribute in virtually every field of human endeavor.  It is clear as we approach the next century, CLU and her alumni have, in fact, come of age.  It is somewhat shocking to realize we are the ones writing the institutional legacy absent during those early years.”
