Sheryl Johnson (she/her) is a 5th year PhD Candidate at Graduate Theological Union. Her dissertation project focuses on the intersections of social justice (racial, economic, gender, etc) and ecclesial practices (specifically stewardship, finance, and polity). She is an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada, with dual standing in the United Church of Christ. Sheryl has served congregations, campus ministries, ecumenical advocacy organizations, and global church partners in addition to her academic work. She is passionate about embodied, participatory, and critical pedagogies and supporting students to make connections between justice commitments and vocational practices.
