Events

  • International Education Week (IEW) - "Women Who Choose to Challenge", Mar. 1-8. Click here for the schedule of events. If seeking assignments to further students’ intercultural and interpersonal engagement, consider promoting the IEW events. Of particular note is the International Lecture Series (Mar. 2), offering a variety of educational resources to expand global learning. On Thurs., Mar. 4, the Global Pen Pal Program begins. International and US domestic students participate in a “speed-friending” activity and connect with someone from a different cultural background. Participating students will then have a new “pen pal” to communicate with and learn from each other through ongoing interaction throughout the semester. Contact CGE Assistant Director Lara Raynaud at global@callutheran.edu for details.

  • ACE Internationalization Laboratory: Join us on Tues., Mar. 2, at 8am for the official launch of Cal Lutheran’s participation in the American Council on Education’s Internationalization Laboratory. ACE Director of Internationalization, Dr. Kara Godwin, will share a presentation about the myths of internationalization, linkages with diversity, equity, and inclusion work, and the Lab model. Use the provided link for access: https://clu.zoom.us/j/93120211104?pwd=WkhJekZnRkVWeXV3aFZoeFQvS05uZz09. If you cannot attend, but wish to learn more later, a recording of the program will be posted in the near future on the CGE website. Contact global@callutheran.edu with any questions.
