Schedule of Events

This student film centers on a young woman in a lesbian relationship who treads on a downward path toward insanity as she deals with the pain of losing her partner. The purpose of this film was to create an original dramatic art piece that deals with profound topics such as love and loss, psychological distress, and strong familial bonds. During the making of Natasha, I learned about every step involved in the process of crafting a film and putting it all together, from the writing of the script to the editing of the footage. I have fallen in love with the art of filmmaking even though it is hard, tedious work; but after the blood, sweat, and tears that go into a project like this, I am proud to say that this is my own creation that I have brought to life.

"Show Business" is a documentary that features the findings of a research project that tracked the prevalence of exclusionary practices in casting Hollywood Films.

"Barry" is a short, dark comedy about a young man who gets kidnapped along with his cheating girlfriend and the guy she was cheating on him with. The idea for this short film was inspired, strangely enough, from events resulting from the Boston Marathon bombings in 2013. The night before the city went into lockdown, a man was having a one night stand with a woman he didn't know and wasn't allowed to leave her house the next day. The idea of being trapped with someone you don't necessarily want to spend more time with, inspired the groundwork which eventually developed into "Barry." The process of creating "Barry" utilized independent, low-budget filmmaking techniques and immersed students in the filmmaking process.
