Examining the Importance of Identity and Self-Empowerment through Magic and Dance
This presentation is an in-depth analysis of the role that identity and self-empowerment play in a world where dancing is everything and magic is illegal. In “Magic on the Dance Floor,” a young orphan boy is on track to becoming a world renowned dancer when he discovers that he has magic. He must hide his magical abilities while he simultaneously learns how to control his immense power. Shortly after, he is found by a secret rebellion of magic users that claim to have ties to the parents he never knew. From there, Peter Patter must embark on a dangerous mission to bring magic back into society; challenging everything he’s ever known to find the truths he desperately seeks, and balancing the fates of many on the point of his pirouette. This story examines multiple journeys of self-discovery and self-empowerment, challenging the idea that you can hide or deny your true self, and suggesting that magic can be found in even the smallest of things. “Magic on the Dance Floor” was the result of a year-long creative development course, closely developed first through class collaboration, then refined in small groups, and eventually personalized on an individual level.

Adventure and Self-Purpose in "Hans Vershpaten-Gerwhen and the Tome of Yamonochoga"
Dissatisfied with his life, an archaeology professor at a small university yearns for something more. While browsing through the books in the campus library, he happens upon an ancient tome that tells of a hidden treasure, and decides to embark on a journey in search of it. Hans spends the next several years of his life scouring the globe, but to no avail. He is almost out of hope when he runs into a talking parrot with a bad attitude. Together the two continue the quest for the treasure, but find something even better: a giant sea monster. More sarcastic than your average adventure and more magical than your average life, “Hans Vershpaten-Gerwhen and the Tome of Yamonochoga” is a tale of treasure, empowerment and self-discovery.

The Fiscal Cliff
What would happen if the U.S. Government had no budget to fight an angry, roid-raged, British man. The Fiscal Cliff is a dark comedy with a whimsical theme centered around a not-so-secret agent named “Spy”. Now with a name like Spy it’s as if he was destined for this job, however, in reality he is a terrible secret agent and he only completes his assignments through sheer luck and chance. Everyone knows he is a terrible agent and that’s why they always give him complex, low-paying jobs that he somehow completes. A new supervillain is created as an angry British man by the name of Rordan Gamsey injects himself with a new type of steroid that gives him super strength and an inhumane rage. The U.S. Government is still in trillions of dollars in debt and can’t afford to go any deeper so they decide to hire the cheap, yet effective, agent to deal with Gamsey while providing little to no support from the army. This story is about love, compassion, and the power of friendship...just kidding it’s a comedy there are no morals or deeper meanings.

Easy Cheesy: An Abnormal Day in Barry Blue's Normal Day
What happens when you combine the two ingredients that should never be put together when making macaroni? Macaroni and the dangerous (yet tasty) Chemical C create a cheesy monstrosity, the "Muenster". 40 feet tall and made of nothing but macaroni and cheese, The Muenster roams around the Plains of Scotland, polluting everything it walks over with it's cheesy residue. Responsible for this mess, retired hero who single-handedly saved Scotland and former chef of his five-star restaurant, Easy Cheesy, Barry Blue must fix the abomination he has created. With the help of his pet swan, Magnificent, and good buddy, Bill Black, the three go to stop the Muenster from polluting the plains and ocean of Scotland. This is an over-the-top story that wants to have a good time with itself. Easy Cheesy is a parody of other superhero stories and focuses on comedy and abnormal experiences more than learning about morals and themes.

Survival, Magic, and Willing to Survive in Post-Apocalyptic Society in the story “2716”
Four hundred years in the future, a virus spread and killed most of the earth's population. The only survivors of this devastation had magic coursing through their blood and veins. Some of these people knew they were capable of magnificent powers but kept it a secret. The rest of the survivors were not aware of their abilities. Once the word got out that the survivors had magic in them, everyone started being able to control their powers. Almost all animals had magic in them as well, which meant they survived too. All society broke down, people scavenged for food, supplies, and water. Another 100 years in the future, everything changed. Animals were being killed off for their skin which became the new currency. The world was a new and different place. One interesting human who did not even know his own name, only knew the will to survive. No Name soon came across one of the last known living elephants, named Kika. Little did No Name know that Kika was one of the most magic and powerful beings alive. Right before No Name shot at Kika, Mother Nature came and stopped No Name by taking Kika away to a place where all endangered magical animals lived and survived in harmony.
