Measuring Your Mission

Center for Nonprofit Leadership

Measuring Your Mission

How do you measure the impact of your organization and the services it provides? Join us as we introduce an outcomes-based approach to program evaluation.

Participants will:

  • Gain an understanding of a theory of change and logic models as a foundation for an evaluation plan
  • Learn to define their desired program outcomes (impact on participants) in SMARTIE (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, time-sensitive, inclusive, and equitable) ways
  • Explore ways to collect data that will help them determine success in achieving those outcomes
  • Take part in a group case study exercise to help them apply their learning in developing an evaluation framework for a hypothetical organization

Facilitated by Jennifer Lobenhofer, she is passionate in enhancing nonprofit agencies’ capacity to fulfill their missions and maximize their social impact. Lobenhofer is the principal of JSL Community Strategies, offering facilitation, research and training support to help mission-driven organizations visualize and maximize their success in generating positive community outcomes. She specializes in measurement and evaluation, strategic planning and program development.

There is no fee for Center for Nonprofit Leadership members, $55 for nonmembers.
