Global Game Jam

Global Game Jam

The Global Game Jam is a 48-hour event similar to a hackathon that connects innovators around the world who develop a game based on a surprise theme.

People of all skill levels interested in video games, board games or live-action experiences immerse themselves in an artistic collaborative environment to pursue new roles and skills. Beginning Friday afternoon, participants watch a virtual keynote from the world’s leading game developers before embarking on their own intellectual challenge through Sunday afternoon. The goal is to build a safe, welcoming space for participants to explore the global creative buzz in games. Not a competition, the event offers a way to meet new people, try new tools and share ideas in a supportive community.

Times:

  • Friday, Jan. 24, 4-11 p.m.

  • Saturday, Jan. 25, 7 a.m to 11 p.m.
