Dr. Lyons Wins Poetry Prize
Congratulations to Dr. Jacqueline Lyons, who won Palette Poetry's 2025 inaugural Nature Poem contest for her poem "Fire Season: Super Perennial". The contest's judge Aimee Nezhuhumatathil wrote that the poem "glows with the ache and possibilities of renewal—the kind of poem that believes in what can bloom back, even after a raging fire.”
You can read the published poem on Palette Poetry's website. You can read more about Dr. Lyons and the prize at the CLU Echo.
