How to Find Jobs on on CLUPostings.com

By becoming a student at Cal Lutheran, you gain access to our premier jobs platform, CLUPostings.com. Here, you can find on-campus, part-time, and work-study jobs — in addition to internships and full-time jobs as you progress toward graduation — all in a few seconds.

Step 1: Login to CLUPostings.com

Your CLUPostings.com login information is separate from your MyCLU login information.

To create your account, complete our Job Alert Form. If you already have an account, login now to update your profile settings.

Step 2: Browse for open positions

Once your account is created and you are logged in, you are ready to search for positions.

To find current postings, navigate to the Jobs tab. Filter your search results by selecting the Job Type for Campus Work-Study Part-Time.

Step 3: Complete an application form

When you have found a position that interests you, download and complete the Work-Study Application form. 

Step 4: Email your application form with a brief introductory note

Once you have completed your Work-Study Application, email it as an attachment to the correct supervisor. The supervisor’s contact information will be listed below the application link.

Sample application email

Subject: Application for student employee position

Dear ______:

I am writing to apply for the student position open within your department. Please find my completed application attached.

I look forward to hearing more about this opportunity and invite you to reach out to me by email at (jackyjane@CalLutheran.eduor by phone at 805-493-3279.

Thank you for your consideration.

Step 5: Follow up within one week, if needed

If you have not heard back from the supervisor within one week of emailing them, we recommend you follow up. 

Sample follow-up email

Subject: Follow-up on student employee position

Dear ______:

I hope this message finds you well. I recently applied for the student position within your department and I wanted to ask if you have any updates on the status of my application?

If there is any additional information I can provide, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that you have a wonderful day!
