DEIJ in the Workplace: Overcoming Barriers & Navigating Success
On October 10, we held our Fall event in the DEIJ in the Workplace series focusing on Overcoming Barrers and Navigating Success. Alumni Rafael Cordero (Director of Information Technology and Services, The Rivera Ridge School), Brittney Elhard (Senior Director of Information Technology, J.D. Power), Mark Garcia (Chief Financial Officer, Arctic Cold, LLC), and Karen D. King (Regulatory Strategy Lead and Sr. Director, Opus Regulatory) shared their own experiences of success and challenges as members of an underrepresented group in a corporate environment with a full room of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The event was expertly moderated by our own John Garcia.
